In a suburban village, a house belonging to a young family that recently lost its first child is burning down. Neighbors say that the house is branded with a curse: no one understands how this fire happened, and eyewitnesses have completely different versions of what happened, related to the mystique of the house and its residents. But only one version is the horrifying truth.

Kyrgyz Film Achieves Global Recognition!

The feature film “Ot” (“Fire”), directed by Radik Eshimov, has been honored with the Special Jury Mention award at the world-renowned Fantasia International Film Festival held in Montreal, Canada.

This marks the first time in Kyrgyzstan’s history that a film has participated in this prestigious festival — and immediately gained international recognition.

In addition, the film also received a special prize from the Québec Film Critics Association (AQCC). This achievement once again confirms the high artistic level and creative potential of Kyrgyz cinema on the world stage.
